Great street to trick or treat on: Steve Young hands out candy, and Mrs Steve Jobs hands out gift bags.
Downside is the PAPD and SC Sheriffs Dept have to cone off the street every Halloween.

None, that street is probably the most actively patrolled by PAPD.
I've seen lots of homeless over by the tracks at the Menlo Park train station nearby.
If you are talking working poor, RVs pull up on certain streets in Mountain view daily.

Same with Beverly Hills. I guess the wealthy elites should not be bothered by homeless peeps, when they are so busy lecturing us little people on compassion and tolerance.

Why is this news? In any major city I bet its easy to find multiple >$5M lots for sale in desirable areas.

Here's a big money area in Miami with multiple ~$10M lots.

Always wondered what was going on with that empty lot. used to walk my dogs by there. Its not the same street as Steve Jobs - Jobs house is the corner of Waverley and Santa Rita - actually the house across from Jobs place is now a vacant lot as the house that was there was torn down. That is probably the best vacant lot in town and likely to be worth $30 million easily as it is vastly bigger than this $9 million lot for sale. Larry Page is near Jobs - on Bryant near Santa Rita but his lot is deep and the house is very hidden from the street. I think there is a Palo Alto rule that you can't build a house bigger than 7,000 sq feet, so Page put in a vast basement since that doesn't count in the square footage for the rule.

certainly no homeless in this hood and no RV parking either. The RVs all seem to be on El Camino in front of Stanford, in industrial areas or strangely in parts of College Terrace near Stanford. Have seen a growing number of RVs in mountain view - near rengstorff park and other parts.

trijocker - where do you live?

Yes, Jobs family is on the corner of Waverley and Santa Rita. The reporter probably doesn't know the street. He and his wife always handed out goodie bags with a health bar.
After he died she put up some sort of Cirque du Soleil thing on the front lawn.
If you go down a few hundred feet, there is a very small street called Waverley Oaks. I thought that was a google CEO's pad, because just to rival the Jobs family, they started putting out a little circus thing too in front of their gate, but didn't give out any candy.
We lived ten years in the Fair Oaks area, until it gentrified, filled up with Facebookers and got too pricey for us. I think I once recommended the Los Gallos Taqueria to you on Marsh rd.

Waverley Oaks is a little dead end street off Waverley. I think Larry Page owns 1 or 2 of the houses at the end of that street and they were combined with his lot on Bryant when the compound was built. Its all hidden behind fences.

I have been to Los Gallos - its in the Marsh Manor shopping center? pretty good place. I go to Tacomania a lot on Old Middlefield and Rengstoff. But the prices have soared a lot, apparently they must have realized there were near the googleplex.

This listing for $40 million just popped up in Palo Alto - its the house across from Gamble Gardens in old Palo Alto. One of the few houses that actually is a real mansion -

That's outrageous. I'm distantly related to someone who lives around there. Thanks to the internet, I saw that the person's home is a gross, old looking little home built before 1940, with less than 1300 sq feet, yet it is worth around $2 million!
