$25/night for a room with a balcony and beach view in this quiet fishing village. I could live out my days here.

i really am curious what the cost is on living there, like what is your average monthly expense? I put it at 2k to 3k a month.

Not sure what it is. I just sell stock in my brokerage account when I run out of cash. Also the guy here has a room for 15 a night but its not an ocean view with a balcony like I have now.

Tops. Shoestring backpackers can get by in a place like Ecuador for under $1k/month. My last winter before law school, I averaged less than $800/month in Nicaragua.
