I oance read a fascinating article about Tommy Hilfiger. It was corporate policy that if the store manager suspected shoplifting they’d look the person over. If the person seemed cool and popular they’d tacitly let them get away with it knowing that the branding of Cool Popular Kids Wear Tommy was more than the MSRP equivalent but if the person was a Loser they’d throw the book at hem for theft

I find LaCoste the most comfortable and best cut of those.

Polo seems to be the most durable and last longest.

Hilfiger and Nautica have consistently been a tier or more below, generally poorly cut and not durable.

Never heard of Fred Perry

Lacoste used to seem good but I think the cut is terrible and they shrink in the wash. The only good polos cost like $150+, which is ridiculous. So I wear golf shirts now if I want a collar on a T-shirt.

I can get all those polos in Thailand for 1/10 of the price charged in America! My closet looks like a rainbow! I used to dress so ghetto in the States being so poor and all but now look fabulous!
