Fat Shaming

Imagine being stuck between a couple of 350-400 pounders on a long air flight? What would you do?
"A woman was booted off a United Airlines flight after she was caught fat shaming fellow passengers because she was stuck between them in a middle seat.
The unnamed blonde passenger was on a flight from Las Vegas to Newark on January 2 when she was caught on camera moaning about being stuck in the middle of two 'big' passengers.
Her tirade has been posted to Facebook by registered nurse from New Jersey Norma Rodgers who was sitting next to the woman and subjected to the abuse. It has since gone viral.
'Oh my goodness, I don't know how I'm going to do this for the next four hours,' the unidentified foul-mouthed woman says. 'This is just impossible cause they're squishing me. Like, friggin' just unbelievable."

I just don’t know. I know some people are fat because they simply don’t care. They eat like pigs, don’t exercise and just generally take no measures to lose weight. I have little sympathy for those people.
Some thigh have a certified medical condition, which makes it difficult to get down to a reasonable weight. Those types I feel bad for.

I know it sounds bad but I feel for that woman who got stuck between the fatties. If you are so fat that you roll into another person's seat, you must buy two seats. What gives them the right to trespass on someone else's property? Don't they have any self-respect?
On one of my recent international flights, I had to sit next to a 350 pound German man who (a) rolled halfway into my seat and (b) kept ripping horrible sauerkraut and sausage farts. It was a horrible experience.
I hate the efforts by some to make obesity seem normal. Obesity is not normal, and should not be accepted.

I sat once next to a big fatty on a plane. His fat flowed over and occupied 2/3 of my seat.

soiled_nappies, meet gigapi. gigapi, meet soiled_nappies. I'm sure you two have much to discuss, so I'll just come back later.

There's some things you just might not say out loud,
but you'd be thinking it, just as mentioned when the fat person's weight flows over into your seat.
Friendly tip, keep your eyes downward on SW flights when a large person is looking for seats.
I've kept my mouth shut ever since a buddy make a joke about beached whales and Shamu's here at work, and got sent to HR.

I'd ask the flight attendant to move me.
But it's a risk of flying coach.

I was on a flight with a couple who both had to buy two seats each, and they took up both seats. Very nice couple. The man was super chatty.
That lady should have been moved without incident.

Southwest?
From the comments I read on this story it seems SW makes you buy two seats but refund if the flight doesn't sell out. It seems it's the airline of choice for conscientious large people.

Yes Southwest and we were on the wing where they could sit across from each other.
I had to change seats at an NBA playoff game once because this skinny dude would not stop elbowing me. He was unbelievable.

Would be an unpleasant flight, but you just have to sit and take it.

Yes. If you ask to change seat, it could offend the fatty.
