Yes, it is....they don't just take anyone (you need the grades, the clean record and you can't have failed the bar more than two times).....you need to go to the JAGC website and see what jobs are available under Reserve Component Vacancies via the location and rank/grade (you would be looking for jobs in the 02/03 category.....if you do get in, you may be waiting for one year for the security and medical clearances before you are sworn in.....good luck

Where is this "two strike" bar exam requirement you refer to? I don't see it as a requirement on Army JAG's website.

There is no such animal as a two strikes program, at least not for the National Guard JAG, which more than likely has the same standards as Reserve JAG. It might be tough to get in with crappy grades, though, especially if you have no prior service. HTH

There is a two strike requirement, but that can be waived, and if you want to join the Army Jag especially the reserves, it will most likely be waived. Have fun in Iraq.

IF you ever go to Iraq with the Reserves or Guard, it would only happen with a brigade level or higher deployment. Even then, most likely you'd be eating ice cream in the green zone. Not exactly the charge of the light brigade. Go for it.
