Does anyone know about how much a whole set of Barbri books sells for? I have a binder with all of the lectures typed up and supplemented, too. I'm also not quite sure if Barbri has any limits to what students can resell, since the value of Barbri is supposed to be the lectures.

1. Barbri does not allow you to resell books to other ppl(supposedly).
2. In CA, Barbri will pay you $175 for your books, in any condition, with the due date being about two weeks after results come out.

Depends on the state - most places, you can get at least the deposit. In NY and CA, you can often get a lot more than the deposit, even if the books are just in average condition. Photocopy the binder and sell it multiple times.

Barbri doesn't technically allow this, of course.

Hmm, I went on ebay and there are babri books for sale. I had heard earlier that you can sell, some stuff, but there were limits. Someone told me that the reason why Barbi pays you $250 for the books back is to keep them off the market. ($250 is decent, and then you don't have to worry about going through the process of selling them.)
I don't actually think the price would be under the deposit amount because the amounts on ebay are way higher. I'm sure it varies by demand.
Ha; I like your advice, DCer.

vence says that only yiddish bar review books may be sold in a used condition. All must bow to the conventional wisdom.

BarBri can ask for/tell you whatever they want (i.e. that you only have a "license" to the books and cannot resell them) but they cannot stop you from selling your materails.
Check out the first-sale doctrine (you can sell your original copy of copyrighted materials) and sell away.

Depending on the condition of the books and the state, as others have said, you can make a little money (get more than the BarBri deposit).
I sold a set of DC BarBri books last spring for $125 and I had about five responses to my Craigslist ad within 30 minutes, which tells me I could have tried to get more money but at that point, I really didn't care and just wanted to unload the books. I sold a set BarBri books from a midwestern state on eBay and I think I got $50 or $100 for them, but the demend for non-NY/CA books isn't that great on eBay. I think Craigslist works better for local markets.
