I just moved to Orlando, Florida from NYC yesterday. I don't have any pressure to get employment (my wife's salary alone covers all of our expenses and my second-to-last boss is sending me remote work for as long as I will do it at NYC prices) but I want some advice on the job market and job tactics, because eventually i would like a Florida job. I am going to take the Florida February bar. I currently have NY and California bar admission. I have almost ten years of experience in real estate litigation working in NYC firms, although I think that might not mean anything in FL. Real estate lit in NYC is highly specific in some ways. Since money doesn't matter so much, I would like to pivot a bit, and do real estate transaction or try for an in house job that involves real estate. For what it is worth,my last firm was midsized (90 attorneys). I am good at litigation, but I don't love it and would like to try something different.

Anyone have some advice?

Having been on the nyc treadmill for 9 years, it feels good to get off for a minute. It feels weird not having anything to do but hangout with my kid.

LOL Do you live in FL? My parents live here and so do my in laws. In NYC, we could barely afford occasional babysitters, so looking forward to unlimited free babysitting
