White Collar work I think is very light. This is not a political post, but I think it's the new administration--I think some agencies are taking a wait-and-see approach as to whether they start or continue certain investigations, people haven't been appointment yet, and also enforcement in certain regulatory areas may be eased on orders from the new admin.

Generally, a significant portion of doc review work is due to government investigations, a hit to the volume their volume and breadth will be felt by the doc review circuit in general.

It's been light, but I wouldn't call it a drought.

In the past month I conflicted out of 3 things before I got on the one I started recently. I've gotten about 4 agency emails saying "Are you available ...?" since I started this one.

If an agency can fill projects with known quantities rather than having to advertise on Posse, they'll try that first.

The Legal Placements project starting this week, which was advertised earlier today, has been full staffed. LPI is no longer accepting resumes or phone calls for this project.

LPI sincerely appreciates the overwhelming response and hopes it has the opportunity to work with you on its next project.

Many thanks.

I received an email for a project with Compliance at 9 AM today. I received an email at 3 PM saying stop sending stuff in because they staffed the project. It definitely looks like a dry spell in DC for doc review.

The Compliance Discovery Solutions project we posted earlier today ... the one starting next week, the week of June 12th ... has been full staffed. Compliance is no longer accepting resumes or phone calls for this project.

Compliance sincerely appreciates the overwhelming ... and rapid .... response and hopes it has the opportunity to work with you on its next project.

Many thanks.

Came here to post it... I never seen it this crap though. I wonder if the crappy agencies are acting like there is a monkey abundance to drive down rate? I know their margins got squeezed bad over the last year.
